ทำไมครูต้องขายขำ?
ความตลกกับการเรียนดูเหมือนเป็นเรื่องตรงข้ามกัน เพราะการเรียนโดยเฉพาะในชั้นเรียนถูกตีกรอบด้วยวัตถุประสงค์การเรียนรู้และแผนการสอนที่ชัดเจน ใครจะมาเสียเวลากับเรื่องตลก แต่ที่จริงแล้ว “ความขบขัน” หรือ humor เป็นหนึ่งในปัจจัยกระตุ้นการมีส่วนร่วมของผู้เรียน และการสอดแทรกมุกตลกในการสอนสามารถลดความเครียด ช่วยสร้างบรรยากาศที่ผ่อนคลายในชั้นเรียน สร้างเสริมความสัมพันธ์ที่ระหว่างผู้เรียนและผู้สอนได้ด้วย หลักทฤษฏีการเรียนการสอนเช่น Social learning theory (Bandura, 1977) และ Socio-cultural theory of learning (Vygotsky, 1994) ต่างก็สนับสนุนว่าการเรียนรู้เกิดจากความสัมพันธ์ในชั้นเรียนทั้งกับเพื่อนในชั้นและผู้สอน การใช้ความขบขันเป็นสะพานเชื่อมไปหาผู้เรียนก็เท่ากับว่าเราช่วยให้เขามีประสบการณ์การเรียนรู้ที่ดีขึ้นจากความรู้สึกว่าผู้สอนเข้าถึงง่ายและมีใจเปิดกว้าง Instructional Humor Processing (Wanzer, Frymier, and Irwin, 2010) ซึ่งเป็นทฤษฏียุคใหม่ก็อธิบายว่าการเลือกเรื่องตลกที่เกี่ยวข้องกับบทเรียนและช่วยนำทางให้ผู้เรียน “เก็ตมุก” ของเรื่องจะช่วยให้เข้าใจบทเรียนได้ดีขึ้นและมีความสนใจในเนื้อหามากขึ้นด้วย ทำไมครูอาจารย์ไทยไม่ค่อยอยากตลก งานวิจัยที่ผ่านมาพบว่าความตลกในห้องเรียนไม่ใช่เรื่องที่นักวิจัยหยิบยกมาศึกษามาก จะมีก็แต่ในบริบทการเรียนการสอนภาษาอังกฤษระดับชั้นประถมและมัธยมเท่านั้น…
