MSME Student Excels at Southeast Asia-Wide ACCA FinHack 2025
We are proud to congratulate Thant Kyi Phyu Tin Hlaing, a student in the Department of Business Economics, MSME , for being part of a Top 6 winning team in ACCA FinHack 2025, a prestigious finance competition held across Southeast Asia from May to July 2025.
The competition drew over 1,200 participants from the region. Thant Kyi Phyu Tin Hlaing first earned a spot in the Top 200 during the individual quiz round. In Round 2, she joined a team of previously unacquainted participants to solve a real-world business case in just three hours—an intense challenge that required analytical thinking, time management, and rapid team coordination.
She then advanced to the Final Round as one of the top 50 participants, where she worked with a completely new group to tackle another time-critical business scenario. Despite the pressure and unfamiliar dynamics, the team demonstrated resilience, strategic planning, and effective collaboration. Their final pitch was well-structured and solution-driven, earning them a place among the Top 6 winning teams.
Reflecting on the experience, Thant Kyi Phyu Tin Hlaing shared:
“This experience challenged me to stay calm under pressure, adapt quickly, and work collaboratively with people I had never met before. It also reminded me how much can be achieved in a few focused hours with the right mindset and a strong team. I’m grateful to my friends who encouraged me to join, and to my teammates from across the region for their dedication.”
The Martin de Tours School of Business and Economics celebrates this outstanding achievement and the global mindset our students continue to demonstrate on international stages. Congratulations once again to Thant Kyi Phyu Tin Hlaing for representing Assumption University with excellence.
