Youth Volunteer Project 2025: First Field Visit to Chan Krung Community Enterprise
As part of the Youth Volunteer Project 2025, supported by the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, a team of faculty members and students from Assumption University conducted their first field visit on 14 July 2025 to the Chan Krung Community Enterprise under the project titled “From Chan Krung Sugarcane to Creative Products: Adding Value and Building Sustainability.” This initial visit aimed to assess community needs and lay the foundation for collaborative development.
The project focuses on enhancing the Chan Krung Nawat Withee Community Enterprise by adding value to locally grown sugarcane through the development of innovative, market-oriented products. It also supports efforts to create a recognizable brand image and promote sustainable business practices—ultimately aiming to generate income and improve the quality of life within the community.
This initiative offers students meaningful hands-on learning experiences, allowing them to apply academic knowledge in real-world contexts through planning, problem-solving, and community engagement.
