BEN4316 Class Enhances Pakchan Mueng Farm’s Visibility and Social Impact

BEN4316 Social Entrepreneurship 1 2024

The BEN4316 Social Entrepreneurship class of 12024, under the GBM Department of MSME and led by Dr. Jenette V. Puyod, carried out a project at Pakchan Mueng Farm in the Latkrabang area.
The students initiated several activities, including creating a website, setting up Google Maps, and establishing a social media presence, such as a TikTok page, to boost the farm’s visibility and promotion. They also guided the farmers in partnering with delivery services like Grab, Lineman, and Lalamove to expedite the delivery of fresh vegetables to customers.

A key focus of the project was educating the farmers on developing a social business model based on the triple bottom line—people, planet, and profit. The farm is committed to supporting community well-being by offering organic vegetables at reasonable prices and providing jobs to local residents. Additionally, the students proposed impactful branding strategies for the crops, including suggestions for packaging enhancements.

The trip concluded with a simple lunch at the farm before the group returned to the university.
