Sustainable Development with the Training of the First Batch of 2030 SDGs Game Facilitators

⚡️Thailand Takes a Step Forward in Sustainable Development with the Training of the First Batch of 2030 SDGs Game Facilitators
The first batch of facilitators trained in Thailand has recently received certification and tools to lead the 2030 SDGs Game. The training program held in Chiang Mai, Thailand, led by international facilitator David Nevin and Takeshi Muranakar, co-founder of Imacocollabo, the creator of the 2030 SDGs Game, attracted the best and brightest.

Dr. Scott Smith from Assumption University, Thailand’s MSME Business School, was among the first to be certified to facilitate the game in Thailand. Dr. Scott explains, “This 2-hour experience is a fun and interactive way for participants to learn about sustainability, ownership, teamwork, and responsibility and may easily extend to a full-day workshop covering various topics. This activity works well for classrooms or corporations.”.
Beginning with an introduction of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the 2030 SDGs Game simulates taking the “real world” into the year 2030. Will participants create a prosperous, fair and sustainable world?
The 2030 SDGs Game highlights the importance of balancing the three pillars of People, Planet and Profit. The rules are simple. Players use money and time to operate projects to achieve their goals.

“The game is designed to be interactive and engaging, which can help to raise awareness and create a sense of ownership and responsibility among participants. Additionally, the game is also a great tool for team-building and collaboration as it encourages participants to think collectively and work together to achieve a common goal.”, said Dr Scott.
