Congratulations! Winners of the 2021 NIBS Worldwide Business Plan Competition

Congratulations! The CropsJet Team from the Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics (MSME), Assumption University is the first prize winner of the 2021 NIBS Worldwide Business Plan Competition.

Each year, the Network of International Business School (NIBS) organizes a worldwide business plan competition to promote entrepreneurship among students. Teams are challenged to develop a new service or product, create a business plan, and pitch their business to potential investors.

This year, the CropsJet Team competed against teams from universities around the world. The Team introduced the CropsJet Drones and CropsJet Seed Bullets to promote innovativeness, sustainability, and efficiency in agriculture practice.

Through perseverance and entrepreneurial spirit, the CropsJet Team won the first prize (Gold Prize–€1,000) which was announced on May 12, 2021 at the NIBS Reconnect, Virtual Conference. The first runner-up (Silver Prize–€500) was a team from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, The Netherlands, while the second runner-up (Bronze Prize–€250) was from Washburn University, School of Business, USA.

The CropsJet Team consists of 4 members:

CropsJet’s winning piece was part of the Team’s work for the Entrepreneurship course, in which students were tasked to develop innovative business ideas and write up a business plan.

The Team was co-mentored by:

  1. Dr. Aya Fukushige from the Department of Management—Leadership and Entrepreneurship
  2. Dr. Nichanan Sakolvieng from the Department of International Business Management.
