MSME Field Visit: Supporting Sustainability through Innovation in Pathum Thani
On 23 August 2025, the Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics (MSME), Assumption University, continued its engagement under the Youth Volunteer Project 2025, supported by the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, with a field visit to the Environmental Conservation Community Enterprise Group (วิสาหกิจชุมชนกลุ่มรักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อม) in Pathum Thani Province.
The project, titled “Development of Broom Products from Recycled Bottles,” focuses on transforming household plastic waste into marketable cleaning products—promoting both environmental sustainability and local income generation.
During this visit, the MSME team held a collaborative discussion with community members to better understand their needs. One key area identified was the need for improved public relations and online visibility. In response, students will support the community by enhancing promotion through social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Additionally, the team will help create a new brochure, X-stand, and vinyl banner to support offline marketing and brand visibility.
This initiative reflects MSME’s commitment to sustainable development, community empowerment, and experiential learning. By engaging in real-world problem-solving, students not only apply academic knowledge but also contribute meaningfully to strengthening grassroots enterprises.
