The International Charity Street Fair is a social project initiated by the Students and Faculty members of the Department of International Business Management in cooperation with Pankan Shop, Yuvabadhana Foundation. The aim of this project is to increase the awareness of the students to social issues and create in them a culture of sharing. This is in line with the Pankan theme of ‘Creating a Sharing Society’. The project is a part of the International Business Environment course and requires students to work as a team, apply entrepreneurial ideas and display appreciation for cultural diversity by establishing booths to sell products representing different parts of the world. The funds raised from the proceeds of the sale along with donations of items which are in usable conditions from the AU community are given to the Foundation to support them in their honorable endeavor to provide educational scholarship to young children who lack educational opportunities. The students and faculty of the Department of International Business Management is indeed happy to have been able to provide continued educational support for several students over the past three years.
